About the Workshop
A 3 Day Conservatoire-level intensive rooted in the training of the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School MFA—one of the world’s leading classical acting programs.

This workshop is designed as a next step for actors who already have experience with Shakespeare and are ready to move beyond the fundamentals.
You will work to:
​Unlock a more active, imaginative, and playable approach to the text
Move beyond analysis into a more instinctive, human connection
Develop greater freedom and ownership in your work
With a maximum of 15 actors, the workshop is highly focused and individualized.​

Developed at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, former Head of MFA Acting and Senior Acting Tutor, Geoffrey Brumlik, and former leader of MFA Professional Development, Kate Siepert will be again presenting this intensive 3-day Shakespeare Masterclass in Chicago this May.

This innovative workshop was developed as an extension of the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School's intensive MFA Shakespeare training and became a central part of that program. It uniquely combines conservatoire-level voice, text, and acting training, with a focus on helping actors develop a more active, engaged, and human relationship with Shakespeare’s text .

​​This will be our second time holding this very popular intensive in Chicago, joinng the very successful events held yearly in NYC and LA.

The intensive is most suited to those with some background experience with Shakespeare and is meant to provide that essential next step to those who are looking to move their work to a new level and discovver a richer creative freedom within the structure of his work.
